Mercury Network Acquires Platinum Data Solutions
We have compiled this FAQ to help answer any questions. If you have more, send us an email here.
Why did Mercury buy Platinum Data?
Appraisal quality control continues to gain importance in the industry and in the minds of our customers, because it reduces risks for lenders and helps compliance with regulations. We think Platinum is the best vendor in its areas of specialty and has exceptional people, so the combination allows us to upgrade our overall offering and organization.
Also, they have several other solutions our customers have requested and we’ll be able to expand the integrated services we offer.
When and how will this transfer take place? Does it happen automatically?
Although the official cutover date is Wednesday, our customers will notice no immediate changes. Users will continue to access all services with their existing login information.
I use AQM now. What does this mean for me?
Soon, you’re going to have even more tools built into your platform. We expect to develop and maintain AQM for the foreseeable future, and immediately begin working on plans to incorporate the best features of both RealView and AQM into one service. We’ll make this transition just like any other software updates, so don’t worry. We’ll let you know about all changes ahead of time, and we’ll be here if you have any questions.
Is AQM still available?
Yes. AQM is available to use for appraisal quality control until we have combined all the systems into one solution. Customers using AQM will be transitioned to a new system eventually, after we have had a chance to ensure it has everything you need. We expect AQM customers will want to transition in phases with Mercury’s team for full support, and that entire process will take time.
I don't use AQM yet, but I am considering it. What does this mean for me?
AQM is currently for sale, and we expect to continue to develop and maintain AQM. However, our goal with this combination with Platinum is to incorporate the best features of both RealView and AQM into one product. We expect the first version of this to become available in Q4 2016.
I use Platinum Data, but I don’t use Mercury Network. Will I be able to continue using my current appraisal management system?
Yes. We will continue to support all the integrations with other appraisal management systems (AMS) and platforms. One of Mercury’s highest priorities is to maintain an open system and to expand our integration partner relationships based on customer needs.
As a Mercury or Platinum Data vendor, how will this affect me?
Both companies’ relationships with vendors will continue and expand. This acquisition gives you more options and visibility since the shared customer base is much larger than before. In addition, we'll be expanding our services for vendors to help you get more done with fewer hassles.
As a Mercury or Platinum Data Integration Partner, how will this affect me?
One of Mercury’s highest priorities is to maintain an open system and to expand our integration partner relationships based on customer needs. We will continue to develop and maintain all our current integrations, and we’re looking forward to new relationships, too.
Will there be any changes to my training and support options?
The biggest changes you'll see are access to new and improved products and even better service than you are used to.
