Appraisal Scope Solutions Update
August 30, 2023

This update contains many improvements to the Appraisal Scope platform and its integrations. Additionally, a substantial overhaul to the Mercury Network integration was deployed. The Mercury Network integration, specifically related to modification requests, was reengineered to benefit your Mercury Network clients and your internal staff. Check out the supporting document below to see the new workflow associated with the “Enforce modification request workflow” Mercury Network setting. This setting should only be enabled if your Mercury Network client requires it.

USER EXPERIENCE

Lender clients often send spreadsheets containing lists of approved or restricted appraisers to Appraisal Scope users. Typically, these lists are managed by imports within the Panels tab. We enhanced the import tool used when adding appraisers to Approved and DNU lists. The changes will provide a better experience and added visibility to registered appraisers within the platform, denoted by the “registered” icon.

Configuring permission-based rights for client users using the "Set Permission" option is utilized when a specific client user needs rights to order visibility or email notifications for other client users. Previously, changes to client user permissions required the staff user to access the Client Company record before being able to save permission changes. We updated the logic so client user permissions can be configured more quickly without accessing the client company first. Updating a client user’s permissions can be done by simply searching for the client user and then clicking the Permission tab.

INTEGRATION ENHANCEMENTS

Connexions Integration
We enhanced the InHouse/Connexions integration by updating the XML structure associated with the “Resume In-House Order” functionality. When an Appraisal Scope user places the order on hold and later chooses to resume the order, clicking the “Resume In-House Order” button will successfully remove the on-hold status from the Connexions platform.

Client API
We updated the Client API to support further GSE initiatives related to the Value Acceptance + Property Data workflow. The DU Case File ID is now available as an endpoint within the Client API for clients and platforms integrated via the API.

Related to the Client API, we updated the XML response error to convey order entry errors better when a non-conforming value is used within the DU Case File ID field (e.g., non-numeric value).

Mercury Network Integration
We updated the character limit for comments sent through the Mercury Network integration. The character limit of 8,000 characters was aligned with the Mercury Network platform.

Before this release, the integration with Mercury Network required AMCs to send modification requests for fee and due date changes as updates and messages. While this worked for most Appraisal Scope users, some of your Mercury Network lender clients require AMCs to use a workflow that allows the Mercury Network user to accept or decline modification requests with a click of a button. With that in mind, we completely reengineered a legacy workflow to satisfy the demands of your clients. By enabling the updated Client Company Setting, “Enforce modification request workflow,” Appraisal Scope AMCs can work within the confines of the Mercury Network modification request structure. This setting should only be enabled if your Mercury Network client requires it. Please see the supporting document below for information about the workflow within Appraisal Scope.
