Appraisal Scope Solutions Update
July 26, 2023

This update contains new functionality, issue resolutions, and performance improvements to various platform parts.

 USER EXPERIENCE

  • This release contains several improvements for managing active and disabled appraiser profiles. When disabling an appraiser with one or more open orders, Appraisal Scope will prompt the staff user with a warning and other relevant information about disabling an appraiser with open orders. Additionally, the UI will now display a Disable button and a Vacation Details button in lieu of icons.

  • Appraiser profiles or companies set to a disabled state, either manually or due to disciplinary action, are stored in the Users -> Disabled tab. We improved areas of the UI that may have given the appearance that a disabled profile was in an active state. While the profile remained disabled, the changes made will ensure that the profile always displays in the Disabled tab instead of the Appraiser tab to enhance transparency.

  • Company or appraiser profiles set to a disabled state, either manually or due to disciplinary action, are stored in the Users -> Disabled tab. We made changes to ensure that no matter where the profile was clicked on in the UI, it will always display in the Disabled tab to enhance transparency.

  • Staff users viewing a disabled appraiser profile can view orders present within the Pending Orders and History tabs.

  • We improved the page load time and user experience when re-enabling disabled client and appraiser profiles.

  • When viewing an order, clicking the appraiser’s name will take the staff user to the disabled user’s tab if the order was originally assigned to an active appraiser profile that has since been disabled. This logic will also apply to viewing appraisers in the Assignment screen if the “Show prior appraisers” option is selected.

  • We renamed the former “Configure covered Encompass states” global setting to “Configure allowed states for client API coverage.” The AMC can use this feature to reject orders for states not in their coverage from incoming Client API users and integrations built into the Client API. This should alleviate confusion when API users report the following order error: This order cannot be submitted. Unfortunately, <platform name> does not provide coverage for the location of the property.

  • Deliverability status of notifications sent to users from the Email Office tab or automated system notifications can be seen in the Notification Log. We implemented hierarchy management for email deliverability results posted back to Appraisal Scope. For example, the payload may contain the same Processed and Delivered status timestamp.

The Delivered status, based on the new hierarchy, will be displayed to staff users in lieu of the Processed status. Those viewing the notification status of emails sent to other users will benefit from this change by being presented with the most important status instead of the first status within the payload.

PASSWORD MANAGEMENT

We continue enhancing the security protocols for the platform, reducing the likelihood of unauthorized access to account information. This update strengthens Appraisal Scope password controls related to Client Administrator access. Client users with administration access will see a "Reset" option next to the encrypted password when viewing client profiles within their company. In addition, staff users will notice redacted information within the appraiser profile change log relating to potentially sensitive profile data.
